It was wonderful accommodation.
It was a lovely sleepover.
Very small with 3 adults. A more private bathroom would be preferable for the price. I discovered the WiFi password on leaving, advertised as a small sticker on the corner of the mirror. I think you need to make it more visible. Most places advertise it in a picture frame of reasonable size. Also, there were no instructions on how to leave the premises and the key. We've never stayed here before, but managed to work it out.
Our host went out of her way to accommodate us. There is a restaurant on the property for a convenient dinner. Our young kids enjoyed the play area even though it is small.

When we drove into Colesberg we were quite skeptical about spending the night there. However, upon our arrival at the guest house, we were warmly received and treated to delicious food and hospitality. Would definitely recommend this accommodation.

We had a comfortable stay at Hazeldene. But since we were driving on Christmas Day, we were looking for a place where we could eat and sleep well. Unfortunately, this was not the case, as their restaurant was not open and no other option was offered. We would also have appreciated a Microwave as we have small children whose food needed to be heated. Very grateful for the nearby covered parking.
We booked Hazeldene and upon arrival were placed in Sawdee. There was no microwave or fridge as requested. No TV and no safe child’s play area.

This is the most beautiful village and cutest accommodation! The linen that clean and room and bathroom were perfect. We had a very nice meal at the eatery next to Hazeldene. It's the perfect place to spend the night after a long drive. We will definitely stay there again.

It was lovely to be able to walk directly from our room to Bordeaux. Our room was neat and clean and the air conditioning helped a lot. We would definitely book there again if we have to spend the night in Colesberg again.

We had a good rest during our trip from Hartenbos to Boksburg. Friendly reception and our room was ready immediately, neat and clean. Nice and peaceful sleep and was well rested for the rest of our journey the next morning.
Very neat and mdoern place but also nostalgic with rock inlays in our room. Excellent restaurant with the best lamb rib I've ever had. Could suggest an extra lock for the glass door in room 2. Thanks for the overnight stay. Will defintiely overnight there again or even stay longer to explore the area.

Comfortable, clean, air conditioned and walking distance to a restaurant with a nice atmosphere and food. Was pleasantly surprised with cute rooms with new, clean bedding and air conditioning. One really does not need more than that for an overnight stop. We slept well and were able to rest well for the rest of the way to Gauteng. The Bordeaux Restaurant was within walking distance and offered delicious food and cool snacks.
The fact that all rooms have air conditioning is a big plus!

Hazeldene is a convenient overnight stop in Colesberg. The rooms are nicely neat and tastefully furnished and clean. The restaurant on the property seems like a good and convenient option to use. We already had our own food so may try that in the future. We were thankful that we were in a corner unit and that the people next to us were not noisy because the walls are very thin. My only two points they could improve on is to have an extra smaller hand towel per person, rather than just one large bath towel. I always need one to dry my hair with. The other is to have a small fridge in the unit. We usually travel with our own road food, which we pack overnight in a small fridge and pack again in our cooler bags the next morning. It is therefore a big disadvantage for us if a place does not have a small fridge where we can keep some of our road food cold.

Clean and comfortable accommodation at a very reasonable price. The rooms had all been renovated with beautiful clean linen and towels. Although the accommodation is in the town, it is very quiet with secure parking. There is a restaurant on site which served very tasty food - the night we were there it was very busy so long delays to be seated and served, but well worth the wait!

The best thing about staying here was that it is adjacent to the Bordeaux Restaurant. We could eat our fill of the most delicious farm food and then sleep soundly in a cool room.

We experienced wonderful rural hospitality that will stay with us for a long time. The hearty food we enjoyed for dinner (lamb pie) and breakfast (liver biscuits and putupap) was also forever remembered.
The owners try to save on small things like towel rails or a soap dish in the shower. Furthermore, we prefer to eat our own breakfast, but there was no cutlery. The bed is good.
